Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of camada, the application-security service operated by Camada Labs, LLC ("camada", "we"). By creating an account you accept them on behalf of your organization.
1. The service
camada provides software you install in your application (the SDK) and a hosted service that receives request metadata from the SDK, analyses it, and returns a blocklist the SDK enforces. What the SDK sends and what it never sends are described on the security page, which forms part of these terms.
2. Accounts and projects
You are responsible for the people you invite to your organization and for keeping project keys secret. Rotate a key from the app if you believe it is exposed.
3. Acceptable use
Use the service only on applications you own or are authorised to protect. Do not send it traffic you have no right to process, and do not use it to build a competing reputation database.
4. Fail-open and no guarantee of blocking
The SDK is designed to fail open: when camada is unreachable or errors, your application keeps serving. This means camada will sometimes let abusive traffic through. camada reduces abuse; it does not guarantee that any request is blocked or that any blocked request was abusive. Verdicts during a learning window are recommendations only.
5. Availability
We aim for continuous availability of ingest and the blocklist endpoint but offer no uptime commitment on self-serve plans. Current status is published on the status page.
6. Fees
Plans and prices are listed on the pricing page. Paid plans bill overage per additional million events. Exceeding an included quota never blocks or slows your traffic.
7. Free trials, automatic renewal and cancellation
Free plan. The Free plan needs no card and does not renew into a paid plan.
Trial. A 14-day trial of Starter or Growth requires a payment card. We ask Stripe to verify the card, and we do not charge it when the trial starts. You get the features of the plan you chose for the whole trial. Before you start, the app shows the plan, the price, the date of the first charge and how to cancel, and you must agree to them. We email you a confirmation with the same details, and Stripe emails you a reminder at least 7 days before the first charge.
One trial per person and per card. Each person and each card can start one trial. We may refuse a trial for a card or an email address that has already been used for one, for a prepaid card, or for a card we cannot identify, and you can then subscribe without a trial or stay on Free.
Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged the price of your plan on day 15, the day after the trial ends, or earlier if you choose to start paying before the trial ends. After that the subscription renews every month and the plan price (plus any overage) is charged to the same card until you cancel. Prices are on the pricing page; we will email you at least 7 and no more than 30 days before a price change takes effect, with how to cancel.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time from Billing in the app or from the Stripe customer portal it links to. No call or email is needed. If you cancel before the trial ends (the date shown in the app) you are not charged, and your organization moves to Free when the trial ends. If you cancel after the first charge, the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew; your organization then moves to Free. You can resume before that date.
Refunds. We do not give prorated refunds when you cancel or downgrade: you keep the paid plan until the end of the period. Charges already made, including the first charge after a trial, are not refunded unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing. If you think you were charged by mistake, write to hello@camada.app and we will look at it.
Failed payments. If a charge fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. If the first charge after a trial fails, your organization has the Free plan's features until an invoice is paid. If payment still fails after the retries, the subscription is cancelled and the organization moves to Free. Your data is not deleted when a plan ends; Free limits apply.
8. Data
Our processing of request data is described in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement. Deleting a project removes its data within 30 days.
9. Termination
You can delete your projects at any time. To close your organization, write to privacy@camada.app; we delete its data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend accounts that breach section 3 after notice where practical.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, including loss caused by traffic the service did not block.
11. Changes and governing law
We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email. These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction, to be set by counsel].
